DAY 1: Arrive Savannah, Georgia
Transfer from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to the Perry Lane Hotel. This evening, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel. (D)
DAY 2: Savannah
Begin with a sightseeing trip of Savannah and the National Historic Landmark District. Next up is a hands-on culinary demonstration of unique Low Country cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Massie Heritage Center and in the evening, enjoy a Tauck Exclusive event of the city’s Madeira wine traditions followed by dinner at the renowned 45 Bistro. (B,L,D)
DAY 3: Savannah
Embark on a guided excursion through the Low Country region along the Georgia coast, learn about the unique Gullah/Geechee culture at the Pin Point Heritage Museum. Next, visit a key site of the Civil War, Fort Pulaski National Monument. Return to Savannah for a free afternoon and evening to spend as you wish. (B)
DAY 4: Hilton Head Island
This morning, private tour at the National Museum of the Mighty 8th Air Force for a private tour of its exhibits with lunch following. Travel to Hilton Head Island and your oceanfront resort. Free afternoon to spend as you wish and dinner at your leisure at the resort. (B,L,D)
DAY 5: Beaufort and Charleston
Enjoy Hilton Head’s pristine beaches before setting off for historic Beaufort and your choice of a carriage tour or walking tour. Then travel to Charleston, the lovely and historic first capital of South Carolina. Dinner tonight is at your choice of several Charleston restaurants. (B,D)
DAY 6: Charleston
Begin your day with a private boat cruise of Charleston Harbor and learn about its impressive maritime history. The afternoon and evening is yours to explore Charleston as you wish. (B)
DAY 7: Charleston
This morning, visit the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens; some sections of the gardens are more than 325 years old. Then, tour the Ashley River Plantations, a National Historic Landmark built in 1755 and enjoy lunch. Tonight, enjoy a farewell cocktail reception and dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: Depart Charleston
Transfer to the airport for you return flight home. (B)
