Celebrity Cruises is adding some significant new features to two of their Millennium ships – Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Summit.
The bold, new refresh will span the entire ship — from revamped Penthouse and Royal suites to a new Rooftop Terrace.
Here’s a look at what’s coming …
New Rooftop Terrace – The Rooftop Terrace will be a cozy and inviting way to enjoy the outdoors. The outdoor venue will feature chic furniture, a film screen for watching movies, and stereo surround sound.
Suite Updates – Every Penthouse and Royal Suite will receive new fixtures and marble surfaces in the powder rooms. The rest of the suite will get refreshing touches like new furniture, carpets, drapes and bed linens.
“We want these suites to be so luxurious and comfortable that it’s difficult for guests to leave at the end of their vacation,” said Lutoff-Perlo.
Tuscan Grille – Both the Infinity’s SS United States restaurant and the Summit’s Summit’s Normandie restaurant will be converted to one of Celebrity’s most popular restaurants, the Tuscan Grille. The modern Italian steak house will feature USDA dry aged steaks, pastas made fresh in house, a unique, Italian cocktail menu and a wine list that highlights the wine growing regions of Italy.
The Studio – You’ll have a new way to capture vacation memories in this new, high-end portrait studio. This unique space will offer a great way to take photos with family and friends.
Stylish Public Spaces Revived – All the public spaces will receive new carpet and updated themes to create an enhanced and modern look. The Casino will have a completely refreshed look and the Solarium will be even more lustrous and relaxing.
The upgrades are expected to take two weeks; during that time the ships will be drydocked in the Bahamas. Celebrity Infinity will receive her upgrades the latter part of October 2015 and Celebrity Summit will receive her upgrades in February/March 2016. The enhancements to both ships are expected to cost Celebrity Cruises approximately $8 million.
