Quark Expeditions, a leader in polar adventures, has added an immersive helicopter program as part of its robust portfolio of adventure activities.
Ultramarine, Quark’s newest expedition ship, will be the first in Quark’s fleet to offer helicopter adventures with two twin-engine Airbus H145 helicopters.
These twin-engine helicopters have been designed specifically for polar adventures. Travelers will have unique aerial perspectives of the polar regions and be able to set foot where few humans have ever walked.
The advanced technologies of the H145 helicopters is coupled with the team’s helicopter expertise that dates back to 1991. Its two twin-engine H145 helicopters will be commanded by highly experienced, well-traveled pilots, according to Felix Christians, director of helicopter operations for Quark.
With Quark Expeditions’ extensive helicopter program, its portfolio of adventures includes much more than just flightseeing – guests can participate in heli-hiking, alpine kayaking and exclusive ice-sheet heli-landings.
